Mashup is a weekend event, delivering a unique learn-by-doing experience for youth aged 14 and up.
Mashup is designed to introduce and apply entrepreneurial and technical skills to solve problems in our community and equip youth with the tools and resources they need to make a positive and lasting impact in the future. Teams of four develop a product idea, create a business plan and build a prototype with the help of expert mentors over 48 hours. The challenge culminates to a final team pitch in front of a panel of judges to win cash prizes.
Supported by generous sponsors, Mashup is a free event open to all secondary school-aged students.

HOW MASHUP WORKS
Mashup is open to all secondary school aged young people with an interest in solving problems that affect them and their community.
It's your opportunity to form a team and to design a solution to this problem using technology, mashing Tech and Business! Mashup allows you and your friends to bring together all your different skills and interests, from business, computer, marketing, writing and design to work as a team in a safe and fun environment to build something that matters to you.
You will form one of 12 teams of 4 students from years 10, 11, 12 and 13 (you can include a junior student if they bring the idea!) and get mashing Tech and Business with expert mentors from the business, technology, marketing and sales world. You will be introduced to ICED, a business planning tool inspired by Lean Canvas. Your team will be stepped through a process which encourages critical thinking, innovation, teamwork and learn how to be rigorous about finding a sustainable solution to a problem you are passionate about.
